To foster local literary energy, promote exchange between Taiwan and the global literary community, and encourage cross-disciplinary and transnational creation, the National Museum of Taiwan Literature (NMTL) is launching this year's short-term Writers-in-Residence program. Selected writers will stay at the Taiwan Literature Base (TLB) in Taipei.
Interested applicants should read this year's guideline carefully. Please fill out the residency proposal in the official form and click the "Online Application" link below to upload all required documents. Please complete the process by May 11th.

申請資格 Qualified Applicants Shall:
- 年滿 18 歲之自然人
- 具備中華民國國家語言或英語溝通能力
- 2 年內未曾獲選本館駐村計畫者
- 小說、散文、詩作、戲劇及影視劇本、文學翻譯、非虛構書寫、
其他文學類型或文學跨域之創作者
- be a natural person 18 years old or over;
- be able to communicate in one of Taiwan's nationally spoken languages or in English
- not have been accepted for an NMTL residency in the last two years; and
- be a writer engaged in creative works across literary genres, including fiction, essay, poetry, drama, screenplays, literary translation, non-fiction, or cross-disciplinary literary works.

可進駐期間 Residency Time Frame
2026 年 8 月 13 日至 2027 年 7 月 31 日之間，由申請者自行規劃 7 日至 30 日之駐村寫作計畫
下列時段不開放進駐：
·2026 年 10 月 10 日至 11 月 20 日
·2027 年 2 月 1 日至 3 月 2 日
August 13th, 2026 to July 31st, 2027, applicants should independently plan a residency writing program ranging from 7 to 30 days.
The following periods are closed for residency:
·October 10th – November 20th, 2026
·February 1st – March 2nd, 2027

申請方式 How to Apply
- 申請者須繳交規定格式之計畫書，並檢附至少 1 件已發表之出版作品（不限商業出版）。
- 採線上申請。申請者應於截止日前填寫駐村申請資料，
並上傳相關證件影本、計畫書電子檔及其他有利審查之資料， 完成申請手續。
- All applications must include: (1) A residency proposal in the official form; and (2) at least one published (commercial or non-commercial) work.
- We accept only online applications. Please submit copies of requested ID documents, residency proposal, and all other supporting materials to the website before the deadline.
甄選方式 Selection Process
- 初審：由本館就申請者資格、書面資料等進行審查
- 複審：由本館邀集專家學者組成評審委員會，進行評審
- Preliminary review: The NMTL will conduct an initial review of each applicant's qualifications and submitted materials.
- Final review: A selection committee convened by the NMTL will conduct the final review.
作家駐村之內容項目 Residency Requirements
- 駐村活動：獲選者應於駐村期間之每週六或週日至少辦理 1 場型態不拘之讀者交流活動。
- 提交成果報告：獲選者應於駐村結束後 5 天內，提出與申請計畫相符之成果報告。
- Residency Activities: The selected writers are expected to hold at least one reader engagement activity, on a weekend each week during the residency.
- Final Report: The selected writers must submit a final report aligned with their proposed residency plan within five days after the residency ends.
