慕尼黑大學名譽教授及歐洲科學院院士 Christoph Bode將於 11 月受國科會補助來臺進行一系列演講。他是國際知名的浪漫主義、敘事學和詩學專家。他也同時會在文苑沙龍演講有關「未來敘事」(Future Narratives)的主題不僅對敘事學有重大貢獻,亦受電影研究及遊戲研究的學者所關注。此研究專題獲歐洲研究委員會(ERC)一百萬歐元的補助,而Bode 教授是德國首位獲得該補助的人文學者,也是全歐洲第一位獲此殊榮的英國文學學者。研究成果亦以由De Gruyter出版一系列書籍:
Bode 教授是浪漫主義研究的權威專家,擔任European Romantic Review的編輯委員會成員,並為Studies in Romanticism、Literature Compass及 Routledge 等知名期刊及出版商審稿。他最近亦為The Cambridge Companion to the Romantic Sublime(2023)撰寫了關於「德國浪漫主義與崇高」(German Romanticism and the Sublime)的專章。

Professor Christoph Bode from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich will be giving a series of lectures in November in Taiwan, including a talk delivered at the Salon @ College of Liberal Arts. Professor Bode is an internationally renowned scholar of Romanticism, narrative theories, and poetics. The talk he will be giving at the College of Liberal Arts is on “Future Narratives,” which has appealed to scholars not only in literary studies but also in film studies and games studies. This project received a million Euro Advanced Investigator Grant from the European Research Council (ERC). Professor Bode was the first Humanities scholar in all of Germany to win this ERC grant and the first English Studies scholar in all of Europe to win that distinction. Furthermore, Professor Bode is a leading expert in Romanticism and serves on the editorial broad of European Romantic Review and as a reader for major journals and publishers such as Studies in Romanticism, European Romantic Review, Literature Compass, and Routledge. He has just contributed a chapter on "German Romanticism and the Sublime” to The Cambridge Companion to the Romantic Sublime (2023).
